Advert Senior Clerical Assistant (13/1501) Dumfries £13,179.69 - £13,404.69 The Learning Disability Service provided by Dumfries and Galloway’s Health & Social Care Partnership supports young people and adults who have a range of needs including learning/ physical disabilities and autism spectrum conditions. As Senior Clerical Assistant you will cover a range of general and administrative tasks. The successful applicant will be expected to be able to work as part of a team and be adaptable and experienced in working to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be expected to be aware and able to maintain confidentiality. You must be educated to a Higher Grade / SVQ2 in the related subject or equivalent. You will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and have good organisational and interpersonal skills. Microsoft office experience and knowledge of computer-based information systems are essential. ECDL would be desirable. In this post you will be required to work 18.75 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, there is a possibility of these hours being flexible for the right candidate. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
