Hays are recruiting for a temporary Customer & Data Administrator. We are seeking a highly organised and technically skilled Data Administrator to support our client's financial services operations. The ideal candidate will have strong data management capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to handle some inbound and outbound phone‑based activity with customers or internal stakeholders. This role is suited to a proactive individual who thrives in a process‑driven, regulated environment. This role is office based in Manchester city centre.

Your new role

Key ResponsibilitiesData Administration & Management
1. Maintain, update, and validate customer and financial data across core systems and databases.
2. Perform regular data quality audits to ensure accuracy,pleteness, andpliance.
3. Identify and resolve data discrepancies, escalating issues where appropriate.
4. Support process improvements to enhance data integrity and operational efficiency.
5. Assist in data extraction, reporting, and preparation of information for internal teams.
Customer & Stakeholdermunication
6. Handle inbound and outbound calls to verify information, clarify data queries, or obtain missing documentation.
7. Provide clear, professionalmunication while maintaining confidentiality andpliance with regulatory standards.
8. Work collaboratively with internal teams (, Operations,pliance, Finance) to resolve data‑related queries.
9. Adhere to financial services regulatory requirements including GDPR, data protection policies, and internal risk controls.
10. Maintain accurate digital records in line with audit andpliance frameworks.
11. Ensure all data entry andmunication activityplies with internal policies and industry standards.

What you'll need to succeed

Skills & Experience Required

12. Strong proficiency with data management tools and systems (, CRM systems, financial databases, Excel, and reporting tools).

13. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data cleansing, formulas).

14. Ability to quickly learn and navigateplex systems and platforms.

15. Understanding of dataernance and data protection best practices.

16. Previous experience in a data administration or operations role, ideally within financial services, banking, insurance, or another regulated industry.
17. Experience handling customer or client calls in a professional environment (desirable but not essential).
18. Background in fast‑paced, accuracy‑driven environments.
19. Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach.
20. Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical mindset.
21. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
22. Professionalmunication skills (written and verbal).
23. High integrity and strong sense of accountability.
