Job Description:An Accountancy firm in Bolton are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the chance to work with a varied client base. Whilst offering support to our portfolio management team who undertake the management of clients.Key Responsibilities:Compliance:
* Prepare and review accounts and initial tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and individuals.
* Ensure all compliance deadlines are met and maintain up-to-date records for HMRC & Companies House submissions.
* Stay current with changes in accounting legislation.
Advisory:
* Provide advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency, protection of assets
* Advise clients on the tax implications of business transactions and financial decisions.
* Assist with business restructuring and provide guidance on tax-efficient structuring.
* Advise on software, systems and general business advice.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
General:
* Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver integrated services to clients.
* Mentor and support junior staff members, providing training and development opportunities.
* Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts, including attending networking events and generating new client leads.
* Continuously seek opportunities to improve internal processes and enhance client service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong background in practice.
* Comprehensive knowledge of UK accounting legislation and compliance requirements.
* Proven experience in providing business advisory services to owner-managed businesses.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
