Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner – Adult ServicesAre you passionate about supporting autistic adults and individuals with learning disabilities to reach their full potential?Autism Anglia, a well-established independent charity, is seeking a Positive Behaviour Practitioner to join our dedicated and compassionate team.Using the clinical frameworks of PBS, this role will work within a multidisciplinary framework to provide behavioural and wellbeing services for adults with autism and other complex needs.For more information about our charity, visit www.autism-anglia.org.ukLocationColchester and surrounding areas - access to own car essentialSalaryCompetitive salary, dependent on experienceHoursFull-time: 37 hours per weekPlease note, unfortunately we do not offer sponsorships and candidates must have the eligibility to work in the UK.About the roleConduct and contribute to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) assessments, including functional analyses, quality of life, and person-centred planning.Design, implement, and evaluate PBS interventions based on current best practice and national guidance.Analyse behavioural data and outcomes to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.Deliver PBS training and workshops internally and externally; contribute to the development of new training materials.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external professionals to promote positive outcomes.Support the development and monitoring of organisational policies, procedures, and record-keeping systems.Stay up to date with developments in PBS through supervision, appraisal, and ongoing professional development.Promote Autism Anglia's values, safeguarding principles, and commitment to equality, inclusion, and best practice in all areas of work.We welcome applications from individuals who:Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) OR can demonstrate significant experience and knowledge of PBS within a relevant settingQualified to instructor level in delivering training in restrictive physical interventions/Ability to formulate, train staff in and implement PBS interventionsPractical experience of working with people who have autism and/or learning disabilitiesExperience and knowledge of conducting a wide range of assessments relating to PBS implementing behaviour support strategiesFull clean UK Driving License and access to their own vehicleMost importantly, we are looking for individuals with compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for empowering others.Benefits & SupportAt Autism Anglia, we know our staff are key to our success.
