Locum Consultant in Gynaecology
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a genuinely cohesive, dynamic and growing consultant O&G team at the RUH Bath on a fixed‑term basis.
Job Summary
The successful applicant will take up a Locum Consultant Gynaecologist role focusing on delivering outpatient benign gynaecology clinics with opportunities to do emergency gynaecology clinics and gynaecology operating during periods of leave. All areas of specialist interest will be considered for support.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the busy district general hospital, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across neighbouring trusts, contributing to the advancement of women's health.
The O&G team is highly regarded, consistently ranked in the top 3 regionally and top 10 nationally. An interest in research and teaching is expected of all consultants, with participation in QI projects, courses and research links with the University of Bath, University of Exeter and the Bath School of Postgraduate Medicine encouraged.
Qualifications & Experience
* Essential
* MRCOG
* Full registration and licence to practice with the GMC/GDC
* Ability to perform vaginal ultrasound scanning
* Ability in ambulatory gynaecology (one stop clinics and hysteroscopy)
* Ability to undertake terminations of pregnancy
* Experience in risk management and RCA reports
* Desirable
* Higher degree and/or teaching certificate
