Unlock your passions @ Copeland Veterinary Practice
A fantastic first opinion practice located on the outskirts of Middlesbrough, which is home to a variety of activities and close to various beautiful beaches. It is one hour from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with a bustling night life, or for those who appreciate the countryside it is north of the York Moors National Park.
We have a wonderful team of 5 Vets and 2 Nurses with multiple GDP advisors, who have years of experience mentoring new graduates to provide ample support in the first few years of practice. A joint effort between vets to cover various tasks to allow colleagues time to learn new skills when opportunity arises. Flexibility with shifts to allow every member of staff to utilise their skills to the best of their ability and for senior staff to be on hand to provide support to more junior staff members.
The practice has a Surgery certificate holder who performs Orthopaedics, high level Soft Tissue Surgery and Laparoscopic procedures. The practice also benefits from endoscopy, ultrasound, x-ray and dental x-ray.
Step into a supportive start
Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 4 days a week. Due to the particular needs of the business we need to operate a rota system, therefore there are no normal times of work applicable to you and your daily hours, start and finish times will vary from time to time on a rota system. The rota operates Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, you may also be required to participate in a weekend rota and/or an out of hour.
We are a single branch practice so all senior members of staff will be in the same building to provide immediate support to any new graduate. Various interests within the Vets for Surgery, ECC, and Feline Medicine allowing for development across a wide range of skills. Our aim would be for a new graduate to be able to develop all the skills required for a primary care general practice Vet, while having the opportunity and support to develop any further interest at a higher level.
