As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Your experience and leadership skills will be essential in supervising and mentoring care assistants to maintain the highest standard of care. Main Responsibilities

* Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere that promotes resident independence and dignity
* Assist in planning and delivering individualized care to residents
* Supervise and lead a team of care assistants, providing guidance and support
* Administer medications
* Maintain accurate records
* Perform personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring health and safety
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
* Contribute to developing, implementing, and updating care plans and review meetings
* Maintain a clean and organised care environment
* Uphold confidentiality and residents’ rights and privacy
* Provide companionship and emotional support


Qualifications

* SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong leadership and team management abilities
* Compassion and empathy for others
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* A positive mindset and attitude
* This position requires PVG and two references
