Working within a fast-paced professional football environment, you will contribute to delivering high standards across the club while helping create an environment where players, staff and supporters can thrive. What You'll Be Doing Support day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records and systems Process purchase and sales ledger transactions, including invoice matching, credit notes, and supplier reconciliations Support credit control activity by monitoring customer accounts and ensuring timely payments Process payments, income, expenses, petty cash, and company credit card transactions in line with policy Complete regular bank reconciliations and assist with journals and general ledger maintenance Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including budgeting and financial analysis input Maintain compliant financial documentation and archiving systems in line with GDPR and internal controls Provide general finance and administrative support, working closely with internal teams and external providers This role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues across the club in a dynamic sporting environment where flexibility, teamwork and professionalism are essential. What We're Looking For A team-first mindset and pride in contributing to collective success The ability to perform and make sound decisions in a high-pressure sporting environment Relentless attention to detail and commitment to elite standards Accountability, professionalism and a willingness to go the extra mile Essential Experience Previous experience in a finance, accounts assistant, or bookkeeping role Experience working with purchase and sales ledgers Exposure to bank reconciliations and journal postings Experience using accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems) Experience handling supplier invoices, expenses, and credit control processes Familiarity with financial reporting cycles (monthly/quarterly/year-end support) Experience working in a regulated or policy-driven environment (including GDPR awareness) Exposure to payroll administration support (liaising with external payroll providers is sufficient) Skills & Attributes Strong teamwork and communication Ability to work in a fast-paced environment High levels of organisation and attention to detail A positive and professional approach Experience working within elite sport is beneficial but not essential for many roles – what matters most is attitude, commitment and a willingness to contribute to the success of the club.
