Key Responsibilities
* As one of four Senior Location Planning Analysts supporting geographic regions within the Property Estates Team, you will be involved in the high‑profile process of deciding where our stores are located and deliver sales forecasts to key decision makers.
* Across a variety of location‑related project work you will need to consider the full spectrum of the Boots business, from Beauty and Wellness through to Healthcare. Assessing current locations, new sites, evaluating both pharmacy and retail sales opportunities across all our store formats, as well as competitor analysis.
* In your role you will use the team's Geographical Information System (GIS), wide‑ranging 'locational' information, analysis, models and insights from our wealth of Advantage Card customer data. You will also play a role in developing these tools to the next level.
* Data is an essential tool in this role, we use Databricks, ESRI, Alteryx and MSOffice to create our insights, experience with these applications or similar is essential.
What You'll Need To Have
* Proven analytical experience in a relevant commercial or academic context
* Experience using GIS, Alteryx, Test & Learn, Cloud Databases, and MS Office
* Confidence in presenting insights to senior stakeholders, both verbally and written
* An ability to apply analysis in a business and commercial context
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver business objectives.
* Strong influencing skills
* Self‑motivation and be results focussed with the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple concurrent projects to defined deadlines
* Good communication and be able to build effective relationships within the business and the external market
It would be great if you also have
* A commercial awareness
* Prior knowledge & experience of a retail environment
* Experience using some location/spatial analytical techniques
* A passion to learn and develop
