Your Key Responsibilities
8. Chair Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Reviews, ensuring high‑quality decision‑making and timely progression of plans.Provide independent scrutiny and challenge to drive effective, child‑centred care planning.
9. Promote active participation of children, young people, families and carers in all reviews and planning processes.
10. Offer expert safeguarding advice and consultation to social workers and managers on complex cases.
11. Support wider service improvement, quality assurance, and the professional development of staff.
For this role you will need
12. Social Work qualification with 5+ years post‑qualifying experience in statutory child protection.
13. Registration with Social Work England
14. Strong understanding of legislation, risk assessment, safeguarding processes and care planning for Looked After Children.
15. Experience chairing complex meetings and providing authoritative professional challenge.
