Position: Shunter Driver
Contract Type: Permanent (40 hours per week)
Location: Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry
Shift: Days (Monday-Friday / 18.00-02.30)
Salary: £41,477.10 per annum

About the role:
o Safely positioning trailers / vehicles in a timely manner as requested by the Control Room.
o Ensuring the yard area, including entry and exit points, vehicle wash, weighbridge, fuel islands and walkways, are managed to allow both vehicles and pedestrians to move freely and safely.
o Promoting best practice and challenging/reporting on any non-compliance.
o Driving company shunt vehicles safely and courteously in accordance with site rules.
o Reporting any vehicle accidents to the traffic office.
o Reporting any mechanical defects.
o Fueling vehicles and undertaking normal collection and delivery duties when required.
o Taking responsible action to ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment and goods.
o Carrying out daily vehicle checks following established procedures.
o Ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles between parking bays and loading bays.
The ideal candidate will have:
o LGV Driving Licence.
o Previous shunting experience.
