Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a commercial thinking manager/assistant manager for our employment taxes team, ideally ATT and/or CTA qualified with the motivation to continue to develop their career with a forward-thinking, friendly and inclusive firm of accountants and business advisers. You will have a passion for client service with a keen interest to further your own personal and professional development.
Responsibilities:
1. Pro-actively build and maintain robust client relationships.
2. Ensure timely and accurate tax advice for exceptional client service.
3. Offer specialist advice on all UK domestic employment tax facets, including PAYE, National Insurance, and benefits in kind -International expereince helpful
4. Handle everything from P11Ds and PSA returns to advising on benefits, salary sacrifice, CIS, IR35, and status assessments.
5. Assist with tax due diligence, identifing employment tax implications in target companies/groups
6. Assist with share option schemes (note: JCK doesn't handle legal documentation), predominantly EMI.
7. Create and execute growth share strategies.
8. Aid in tax valuations for share options and growth shares.
9. Offer guidance on employment-related securities (ERS) and returns.
10. Stay updated on employment tax legislation and best practices.
11. Conduct training for the team, including coaching, mentoring and development of junior team members.
12. Identify and act on new business opportunities, primarily from the JCK client base.
Key requirements:
13. ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified with the ability to demonstrate strong corporate tax technical skills, particularly with employment tax experience;
14. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
15. A team player – having the ability to work with the wider tax team and other members of the firm;
16. Strong technical skills, with experience accross diverse sectors and clients, with a keen eye for detail and continuous improvement.
