We are currently recruiting a Senior Sous Chef at Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa is located in Nantwich, a renowned country house hotel in Cheshire, proud of its 4 AA Red Star status and 3 AA Rosettes for its dining.
Are you an experienced chef looking to progress your kitchen management experience? We support our Sous Chefs with the skills they need to step up to Head Chef, including people‑management training, office responsibilities, and culinary development.
About You
* Excellent knowledge and experience of kitchen in a quality‑driven hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
* Enthusiastic, flexible, and willing to take on new responsibilities across the kitchen.
* Ability to impart knowledge to junior team members.
* On the pulse of culinary trends and driven to learn the next big thing.
* High emotional intelligence, anticipating guests’ needs to deliver the Hand Picked experience.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver guest‑experience standards and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a personalized, magical experience.

* Competitive salary package of £41,000 per year, plus a share of service charge.
* Full‑time role: 4 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 44 hours per week (may vary).
