4. Final Interview – An online meeting with our CEO to discuss your goals and the company's history and vision.
Job Summary
Cyted has recently secured significant Series B funding - a strong endorsement of our technology, ambition and growth trajectory. With increasing attention and momentum across the UK healthcare system, this is an exciting moment to join a business that is scaling with purpose and impact. As Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront and responsible for driving that growth. You will spearhead strategic expansion and market penetration of our innovative EndoSign device and test across the NHS in the South East of England, playing a pivotal role in increasing adoption and building regional success stories.
We are looking for a driven, commercially astute professional who can identify and convert new opportunities, develop robust and credible forecasts, and build influential relationships with senior clinical and operational stakeholders. Through focused, strategic sales execution, you will maximise revenue and market share - directly contributing to both Cyted's commercial success and improved patient outcomes across the UK.
Working Pattern and Location
The role is a full-time position with a standard 37.5 hour working week. The role holder may be required to work flexibly.
The Business Development Manager will be home based in South East England, with travel to our customers and occasionally to our Head Office in Cambridge.
What you will be doing
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
1. Forge powerful relationships with Health Boards, ICBs, NHS Trusts, Cancer Alliances, and CDCs.
2. Deeply understand their strategic priorities and operational bottlenecks to position our technology as the essential solution for transforming endoscopy unit efficiency and dramatically reducing patient waiting lists.
Business Development & Financial Strategy
3. Partner with customers to navigate funding pathways and collaboratively develop compelling, data-driven business cases that secure investment for our solutions.
Commercial Excellence & Seamless Transition
4. Drive commercial agreements to a close and ensure a frictionless handover and onboarding experience, working in lockstep with the Customer Success team.
Customer Advocacy & Optimization
5. Proactively identify and coordinate efforts with Customer Success to resolve any implementation or adoption challenges, maximising value and ensuring our existing customers achieve their targeted outcomes.
Service Expansion & Market Growth
6. Identify and capitalise on opportunities to expand service reach across secondary care.
7. Collaborate with ICBs and CDCs to establish innovative, community-based clinics, increasing patient access and driving significant market penetration.
Who you are?
We're seeking a commercially driven, relationship-led business development professional who understands the realities of the UK healthcare landscape and pathway and is motivated by patient impact. You'll combine sector credibility with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset, with confidence engaging senior clinical stakeholders while remaining accountable for driving measurable commercial outcomes.
Therefore you will have:
8. Understanding of UK Healthcare pathways and pipelines.
9. Experience selling into both secondary and primary care settings.
10. A track record of engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including Heads of Service, Clinical Directors and other key decision-makers.
11. Experience using structured sales methodologies (e.g. Miller Heiman) to manage complex sales cycles and stakeholder landscapes.
12. A personable, relatable approach, with a genuine commitment to building meaningful, long-term partnerships.
13. A delivery-focused and commercially accountable mindset, recognising that expanding Cyted's customer base drives both business growth and improved patient outcomes.
14. Strong communication, listening and negotiation skills, enabling deep understanding of customer needs and aligning value propositions accordingly.
15. Confidence in developing robust, actionable forecasts and holding yourself accountable for achieving key goals and revenue targets.
16. A bias for action - proactive, resilient and willing to get stuck in to make things happen in a fast-scaling organisation.
How we work
At Cyted, how we work is just as important as the impact we create. Following our recent Series B fund raise and with increasing national attention, we're entering a defining stage of growth - and our values guide how we scale. As a Business Development Manager, you'll bring those values to life through the way you engage with the NHS, build partnerships and translate our mission into real-world adoption of our diagnostic technology.
We care deeply about improving patient outcomes, and for you, care means understanding the pressures faced by clinicians, commissioners and healthcare leaders. You'll take the time to listen, build genuine relationships and align Cyted's solutions to the priorities of Health Boards, ICBs, Trusts, Cancer Alliances and Community Diagnostic Centres. You'll approach every interaction with empathy, credibility and a clear focus on how earlier diagnosis can reduce waiting lists and improve care.
We expect you to own your territory with confidence and accountability. You'll be responsible for identifying and progressing new opportunities, supporting customers in developing robust business cases and converting interest into signed agreements. You'll manage your pipeline with discipline, forecast accurately and hold yourself accountable for delivering revenue and growth targets that directly support Cyted's mission.
We aim high. Cyted is scaling rapidly, and the NHS landscape is complex and evolving. You'll help drive market penetration of the EndoSign test by identifying new routes to access patients, expanding services into secondary and community-based care, and working creatively with stakeholders to overcome funding and implementation challenges. Your work will help shape how and where Cyted's diagnostics are delivered across the healthcare system.
You'll be expected to dive deep. You'll develop a strong understanding of Cyted's technology, clinical value proposition and customer pathways, as well as the commissioning and funding mechanisms within the NHS. Working closely with Customer Success and internal teams, you'll anticipate barriers to adoption, support smooth onboarding and ensure customers realise the full value of our solution.
We encourage everyone to challenge and commit. You'll contribute ideas, challenge assumptions about how we sell and deliver our services, and help refine our commercial approach as we grow. You'll collaborate openly across teams, commit to shared goals and play an active role in strengthening Cyted's commercial capability.
And above all, we deliver. This role requires energy, momentum and results. You'll move opportunities forward, close agreements and support successful implementation, understanding that every new customer represents more patients accessing earlier diagnosis. Your focus on delivery, commercial accountability and action will help Cyted grow sustainably while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
This is how we work at Cyted. If this is the environment where you do your best commercial work and want to play a key role in transforming diagnostics within the NHS, we should talk.
