SEND Team Manager
We are seeking an experienced SEND Team Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of SEND statutory processes within a defined geographical area and/or for a designated cohort of children and young people.
Location: West Midlands
Duration: Initial 3-month contract
Hours: 35 hours per week
Rate: £65.70 umbrella per hour (£50 per hour (PAYE exclusive))
Role Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and compliant delivery of statutory SEND services, working in line with legislation, legal guidance, and local authority performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the coordination and delivery of SEND statutory processes
Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and statutory duties
Apply tactical and strategic decision-making to improve outcomes for children and young people
Provide robust, evidence-based decision making across complex cases
Undertake rigorous analysis and synthesis of written and case information
Manage and control allocation of resources through demand-led budgetary systems
Support the achievement of local authority performance targets and service standardsRequirements:
Proven experience in a senior SEND leadership role within a local authority setting
Strong understanding of SEND legislation, statutory frameworks, and guidance
Experience managing complex casework and service delivery pressures
Ability to interpret data, assess risk, and make defensible decisions
Strong financial awareness within demand-led service environmentsThis role requires a confident and experienced SEND professional who can operate effectively at both operational and strategic levels.
