Salary
£25,073 to £28,108 per annum plus PLUS shift allowance of £5,947 based on 24/7 rotational shift allowance. Posts are offered at the minimum salary with progression to the higher salary point, achieved through an annual incremental pay rise.

Responsibilities
Working across all University sites, main duties for the role will include:
* Patrolling University grounds and properties, responding to incidents and alarms and implementing crime prevention measures in consultation with the Security management team.
* Work in the Security control room operating CCTV equipment.
* Provide detailed, accurate written reports.
* Carry out duties in accordance with the Universities traffic control regulations to control car parking and traffic flow.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Substantial experience of working in a similar customer‑facing role.
* Ability to record and analyse information and produce accurate written reports.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
* Full, current driving licence, as the role involves frequent driving between university sites.
* Experience of working in a similar security role is desirable.

Shift Pattern and Duties
This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 per week), made up of rotational shifts (12 hour shifts through a 24-hour period). Flexibility to work any shift is required. Licensing and Background Checks
It is a condition of this post that the holder completes or holds Security Industry Authority licensing in the licencable areas of Door Supervision and Public space surveillance (CCTV). The University will pay for the training and licensing.
It is also a condition that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
