Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all patrons
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management
* Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed
Requirements
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
* A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes
