If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality support to a client in their own homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. - Assist with shopping, household duties, and accessing the community as needed. - Demonstrate patience, kindness, and assertiveness in all interactions with clients. - Utilise counselling skills to support clients in coping with challenges related to acquired brain injury. - Maintain open and effective communication with client and their family and other healthcare professionals. - Drive client to appointments and outings as required (valid driving license essential). - Be a good team player and willing to cover shifts for the other support worker as necessary, including weekends and emergencies. Requirements: - Trustworthy and reliable individual with excellent communication skills. - Knowledgeable about acquired brain injury and its impacts on daily living. Proficient in written and oral English with attention to detail. - Ability to handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism. - Patience, kindness, and assertiveness in supporting clients' needs. - Desirable: Counselling skills or relevant experience in mental health support. - Must have a valid driving license. Schedule: - Part-time role, shared between another support worker. - Hours: 12 per week Tuesday 12 noon - 6 pm Friday 12 noon -6 pm Salary: £14 - £16 an hour based on experience and qualifications.
