An exciting opportunity has arisen for a first‑class secretary who has excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, methodical approach to provide essential secretarial and administrative duties to our Consultants and their team within the Stokes Centre for Urology.
Principal duties include:
* Amending/approving clinical letters and report typing
* Facilitating the review of patient results
* Diary management and arranging meetings
* Pulling notes, uploading documents to the hospital database, and distributing post
* Using the Cerner system and other databases, and liaising with other healthcare professionals and patients
* Maintaining an excellent telephone manner, courtesy, and efficiency while using Word, Excel spreadsheets, e‑mail, and an electronic diary
This is a full‑time position, 37.5 hours per week.
In this role you will work as part of a team, manage your own workload, demonstrate efficient organisation, and oversee the smooth, effective operation of the office.
Key responsibilities also include ensuring that procedures and working practices are in place so that the specialty and Trust can deliver a service that meets the standards and targets that have been set, and providing a considerate, patient‑focused service in all dealings with patients and staff throughout the hospital and the wider system.
