Domestic Cleaner with Portering Duties

37.5 hours per week
Various shifts across 7 days - mostly 08:00 – 16:30, 09:00 – 18:00, 05:00 – 14:00
Flexibility to work any shift is expected
Band 2 - £12.51/hr (Weekdays), £17.64/hr (Saturdays) & £22.90/hr (Sundays & Bank Holidays)
It is essential that you are comfortable working on your feet for long hours

We have 6 x ongoing placements for Domestic Cleaner/Porters at Trafford General Hospital.
Duties include:
· Assist in general cleaning of wards, clinical areas, offices, bathrooms, and other facilities.
· Ensure infection control policies are followed to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
· Responsible for the safe use of cleaning equipment and machinery.
· Provide porter and messenger services, including transferring patients and visitors between wards and departments, including admissions to wards.
· Collect and deliver a wide range of goods such as drugs, blood, furniture, feed bottles, case notes, specimens, X-rays, and medical gas cylinders.
· Transfer beds, cots, mattresses, furniture, drip stands, pumps, and other portable equipment and machinery as required.
· Ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors at all times.
· Assist in adhering to correct procedures regarding the removal of deceased persons.
· Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
The skills required are:
· Experience as a cleaner is essential.
· Happy to be in a fast-paced, physical role.
· Possess a friendly and helpful nature.
· Have excellent communication & organisation skills.
· Trained in Manual Handling would be a distinct advantage.
