Salary: £40,108 - £42,535 per annum plus excellent benefits

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week

We're on the lookout for a qualified and customer focused Gas Engineer to join our Building Safety Team. If you're experienced in domestic gas repairs, installations, and servicing and passionate about delivering top-tier customer service we want to hear from you.
You'll work within a set rota, with shifts scheduled between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and some Saturday mornings as required. In addition, you'll take part in our out-of-hours rota, helping to support customers during emergency situations outside of standard hours.

Main job responsibilities:
* Carrying out gas safety inspections, servicing, maintenance, and installations across domestic and other whg properties.
* Diagnosing and resolving faults quickly, professionally, and in line with manufacturer and industry standards.
* Delivering a customer-first approach in both occupied and vacant properties.
* Using a whg-provided van, managing your own tools and stock, and keeping accurate digital records.
* Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, whg policies, and gas safety regulations.
* Promoting quality, compliance, and continuous improvement within the Building Safety Team.
We're looking for someone who has:
* A minimum Level 2 qualification in Gas or Plumbing Level 3 with the Gas Element
* ACS accreditation to include CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, WAT1, HTR1 and CPA1
* Proven gas installation and repairs experience in domestic properties
* Experience of working within occupied properties
* Experience of working with contractors, partners and other agencies
* High competence in all aspects of gas repairs, maintenance and installations
* A good understanding of health and safety legislation, to ensure a safe working environment for colleagues and customers
* A full driving licence
* The ability to travel efficiently from location to location around whg housing stock
* Strong attention to detail
* The ability to make decisions under pressure
* The ability to operate a handheld scheduling device
* Good customer service skills
