Our client, a global law firm, is seeking a Conflicts & Risk Management Lawyer for a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze conflict reports, prepare assessments, and assist in resolving conflicts of interest according to specific requirements.
2. Draft and review conflict waivers, engagement letters, and related documents.
3. Conduct research on legal issues, corporate affiliations, SEC filings, sanctions, and public records.
4. Use internal systems and external databases to gather and analyze information for conflict review.
5. Implement Ethical Walls to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
6. Assess conflicts related to lateral hires and provide recommendations.
7. Collaborate with the Director of Business Intake on client onboarding and conflicts management.
8. Support Conflict Specialists with conflict searches and analysis.
9. Participate in adopting new technologies to improve the Business Intake process.
10. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies within internal databases.
11. Serve as a contact for questions on new business intake procedures and lateral hiring.
12. Assist stakeholders in understanding conflicts of interest policies.
13. Maintain and update standard operating procedures.
14. Develop contingency protocols for system outages or disruptions.
15. Provide after-hours and weekend support as needed, with compensatory time off.
