Artemis Human Capital are recruiting for a Head of Supply Chain on behalf of a global FMCG firm. As a part of the Leadership Team, you will drive excellence in Supply Chain Planning across the business unit. You will lead the Supply Planning team to translate and execute the Group Planning Strategy locally, improving customer service while reducing operational costs. This role is responsible for developing end-to-end planning capabilities within the team and increasing company profitability through effective short- and long-term production and raw material planning. You will implement best practices in capacity planning, cost optimization, and inventory management, leveraging advanced planning systems. You will embed robust processes, routines, and standards to identify optimization opportunities, secure product availability, and collaborate closely with Demand Planning and the broader Supply Chain leadership team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide clear direction, accountability, and measurable goals for team members Drive engagement, team performance, and continuous capability development through coaching and feedback Promote knowledge sharing, training, and on-the-job development Oversee short- and long-term planning for production, raw materials, capacity, and haulage Manage inventories of finished goods, raw materials, and concentrates in line with service level agreements Lead the monthly and weekly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process from a Supply Chain Planning perspective Coordinate Supply Chain planning resources across the country and manage the department budget in line with business plan targets Act as Business Process Leader for Supply Planning, overseeing changes to planning tools and systems to meet evolving business needs Lead the annual Business Planning process for Supply Chain Planning and develop monthly rolling estimates covering production, inventory, import/export, and logistics Partner with Manufacturing and Logistics to continuously improve total Supply Chain cost and service levels while maintaining optimal inventory and minimizing write-offs Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the business unit and region Collaborate closely with Group Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Chain functions, Commercial, Marketing, and Finance to ensure data integrity, governance, and accurate planning outputs Support and lead implementation of new tools and process improvement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery through structured project management practices Lead Supply Chain Planning projects within the business unit to optimize processes and improve efficiency Essential Criteria University degree Minimum 3 years experience leading a Supply Chain Planning function 510 years experience in Supply Chain Planning roles within an FMCG environment Strong knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain and Demand Planning processes Effective communicator and collaborative team player Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Project management experience Experience working with advanced planning systems Strong financial and commercial acumen SAP S/4HANA experience Contact Nicky Strutt
