DAS Law are seeking an Associate to join our friendly and growing Volume Litigation Department.
This is an excellent opportunity toproactively handle a caseload of personal and commercial contract cases for both Claimants and Defendants.The successful application can expect a caseload of largely Fast Track value cases, together with some complex Small Claims.
Within this role, you can expect to handle cases from receipt of instructions, through to negotiation of settlements. You’ll be required to litigate where necessary and progress the case through all stages of the litigation process.
Providing an excellent customer service to all clients of DAS Law is essential, whilst approaching claims management efficiently and with the necessary commercial awareness.As you’ll be joining a growing team you may be required to support junior colleagues.
This is a progressive and fast-paced role and will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to get involved with a diverse range of litigation and dispute management.
We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience and sound knowledge of contract law and the Civil Procedure Rules. You will have experience of the litigation process and issuing court proceedings for Fast Track value cases on the Damages Claims Portal. Excellent communications skills are key, and you will have the ability to adapt your style of communication to ensure excellent client care. You will be able to demonstrate a commercial awareness and understanding of wider business targets, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Whilst not a supervision role, we would be keen to hear from anyone who wishes to develop technical supervision skills. Ideally you will hold relevant qualifications (LLB/LPC/ILEX/GDL or equivalent) but this is not essential. As a team we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do.
