St Richard’s Hospice is seeking an experienced, creative and compassionate Communications and Marketing Officer to join our team and help tell the powerful stories of our care, our people and our community.
This is an exciting and varied role for a communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to engage diverse audiences through targeted, multi-channel communications. Working alongside the Communications Manager, your role involves a mix of internal and external communications, delivering activity that supports strategic objectives, raising the profile of our care and maximising income generation activities in a timely, targeted and cost-effective manner.
You will take responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality communications projects across the hospice, working with staff, volunteers, patients, families and external stakeholders. The role combines day-to-day content creation with more strategic, project-based work and requires excellent organisation, creativity and attention to detail.

About you
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) with post-qualification experience in communications or marketing. You’ll be confident working independently, juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines, while also being a supportive team player.
You’ll bring:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Experience creating content across digital, print and media channels
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
Experience in the charity sector, working with volunteers, or membership of a professional body such as CIPR or CIM would be an advantage.
Please note due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for the role.
