And we are at the centre of it all: The world's leading technology companies manufacture their products with innovative solutions from ASMPT.

The Role

Are you ready to launch your engineering career in a company that’s shaping the future of electronics manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our Software Engineering team and contribute to the development of cutting‑edge solutions for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining deep insight into software design and implementation while making a real impact from day one.

You’ll Be Involved In

* Designing, coding and testing software modules for high-performance manufacturing systems
* Debugging and resolving software issues across multiple platforms
* Collaborating with hardware and systems engineers to integrate software solutions
* Participating in code reviews and contributing to best practices in software development
* Documenting software specifications, changes, and test results
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the software team

Throughout your 18‑month graduate programme, you’ll be supported with mentoring, training, and development opportunities. You’ll stay in one department, allowing you to build deep expertise and take ownership of your work, but also have the opportunity to see how all departments work together. You will be contributing to meaningful projects that support ASMPT’s mission.

About You

We’re looking for a graduate who is passionate about software engineering and eager to apply their skills in a real-world setting. You should:

* Be in your final year of study (graduating in summer 2026) or have completed your degree in the last 1–3 years in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
* Have great programming skills in languages such as C++, C#, or Python
* Understand software development principles
* Possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Communicate clearly and effectively with team members across functions
* Be proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks

We Think You Will Enjoy Working At ASMPT Because

It’s conducive to collaboration, encouraging feedback and enabling innovation. It’s an exciting place to be. Ideas evolve in front of your eyes and we are constantly pivoting and adapting to meet the needs of tomorrow’s technologies. The possibilities here are limitless, the opportunities are huge, and our culture is warm and friendly. Our people are some of the brightest experts around and everyone has a voice here.

We Will Offer You

* A competitive graduate starting salary
* Hybrid working – with the capacity to work from home 2 days a week
* Mental Health and Wellbeing support – we have a team of mental health first aiders within ASMPT and a confidential, external provider
* Annual leave starting at 25 days
* Discounted corporate gym membership
* Subsidised canteen providing local, fresh, nutritious sustenance
* Company social events – including company gatherings, sports and social club activities, environmental/diversity group activities, football, volleyball, badminton, organised walks etc.
