This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with operational stakeholders and influence real business outcomes through high-quality financial insight.What you’ll be doing as a Finance Business PartnerAs a Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Renewals & Logistics (R&L) business unit - helping drive financial performance, insight and decision-making across a critical operational area.You’ll partner with stakeholders across Finance and the business to deliver robust planning, reporting and analysis, ensuring our teams have the insight they need to perform at their best.Your key responsibilities will include:Supporting annual budgeting, Integrated Business Planning and quarterly forecasting for gross OpExDelivering monthly financial reporting and analysis for senior leadership, including key drivers, trends and actionable insightsProviding clear recommendations to support business decision-making and performance improvementActing as a trusted finance partner to operational teams, improving financial awareness and end-to-end processesSupporting and challenging the business through risk and opportunity analysisDeveloping reporting standards, KPIs and models, with a focus on automation and efficiencyContributing to the financial control framework and ensuring robust reporting processesValidating and tracking efficiency initiatives, ensuring benefits are accurate and deliverableSupporting ad hoc analysis, business cases and financial investigationsMaintaining key financial models that underpin planning and performanceBase location: Hybrid - Clearwater Court - RG1 8DB, with occasional travel to other sites for meetings as requiredWorking hours: 36 hours, Monday to FridayWhat you should bring to the roleWe’re looking for someone who is analytically strong, commercially aware and confident working with stakeholders across a large organisation.EssentialThe essential criteria to help you succeed in this role are:Experience in financial planning, forecasting and reportingStrong analytical capability with the ability to turn data into insightAdvanced Excel and financial modelling skillsExperience with financial systems (e.g. SAP, SAC, HFM or similar)Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectivelyA collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownershipSignificant experience in a finance or analytical roleDesirableAccounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)Degree-level education in a relevant fieldExperience within logistics or operational environmentsExposure to business intelligence tools and data visualisationWhat’s in it for you?Competitive salary up to £65,000 per annum, depending on experienceAnnual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)Performance-related pay plan directly linked to both company and individual performance measures and targetsGenerous Pension Scheme through AONAccess to lots of benefits to help you take care of you and your family’s health and wellbeing, and your finances – from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shopping vouchers and life assurance.Find out more about our benefits and perks (Please note different T&Cs apply if on secondment)Who are we?We’re the UK’s largest water and wastewater company, with more than 16 million customers relying on us every day to supply water for their taps and toilets.
