Principal Intelligent Workflow Specialist
As the Principle Intelligent Workflow Specialist within Danske Bank UK, you’ll be our senior specialist authority for intelligent workflow and orchestration, defining how orchestrated workflows are designed, delivered and operated across complex business and technology landscapes.
The role sits at the intersection of workflow orchestration, workflow transformation and emerging agentic AI patterns, establishing standards, patterns and guardrails that ensure workflow solutions are technically coherent, resilient, secure, auditable and operationally sustainable.
Working in close partnership with engineering, architecture, transformation, delivery and business stakeholders, the role shapes key engineering and delivery decisions to enable scalable, outcome‑focused workflows and to support the Group’s transition from task‑centric automation to coordinated, end‑to‑end intelligent workflows.
Your skills
* Strong expertise in intelligent workflow and orchestration (including long‑running, event‑driven and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows), ideally within regulated or similarly high‑control environments.
* Experience working with enterprise workflow orchestration platforms (e.g. Camunda, Pega or equivalent).
* Experience defining and applying enforceable technical standards, patterns and guardrails to deliver resilient, secure and auditable workflow solutions.
* Background in solution or enterprise architecture, including ownership of design assurance and alignment to enterprise architecture standards across multiple teams or domains.
* Practical experience turning automation and AI capabilities (ideally including agentic AI patterns) into safe, value‑focused workflow use cases.
* Ability to shape and assure delivery outcomes, including identifying complexity, dependencies and risks, and providing clear technical direction by shaping realistic plans and roadmaps.
* Strong stakeholder skills, able to work with business and technology leaders and communicate complex topics clearly and concisely.
* Experience translating industry best practice and emerging trends in workflow orchestration, automation and AI into practical standards, patterns and adoption guidance, including assessing new tools and approaches.
* Coaching mindset, with experience helping others build capability and guiding the appropriate use of RPA and low‑code automation, including transition toward orchestration led, end‑to‑end workflows.
