About the Role
Member of the Centre’s Student Experience Team, accountable for an area of activities undertaken by the Data and Operations Team, including data management & governance, exams, assessments and academic administration, and compliance (student enrolments, attendance).
The post holder will report to the Student Experience Leader and line‑manage Student Experience Officers and Data and Operations Officers. The post holder will work in a matrix structure, building strong relationships within the Data & Operations Team, central Study Group teams and the university partner to ensure the smooth running of the Centre.
Key Responsibilities
* Ownership of the Centre’s definitive datasets and student results, ensuring accuracy and currency.
* Produce data‑driven reports for the Head of Centre and other team members as requested.
* Develop and maintain the Centre’s annual “Calendar of Governance/Business”.
* Act as secretary to relevant boards, meetings and committees, ensuring minutes are produced.
* Implement Study Group policies and standard operating procedures.
* Support management teams in preparation for quality assurance and enhancement activities.
* Contribute to the production of the Annual Monitoring Report and other evaluative documents for submission to Study Group and university partners.
* Update student bookings with Study Plan changes, including booster classes and exam resits.
* Ensure student reports are produced in a timely manner and information is accurate.
* Support the management of MAB and PAB organisation.
* Oversee the payroll process for sessional staff.
* Coordinate and motivate Data and Operations Officers to achieve best student outcomes and experience.
* Liaise with other Senior Coordinators to ensure front desk/reception coverage during busy periods or absences.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and communication to enhance the student experience.
* Provide effective performance management of direct reports, including setting and reviewing objectives and KPIs.
* Facilitate, encourage and support staff participation in regular personal development activity.
* Recruit new staff as required in accordance with Study Group policies.
* Support local awareness of compliance requirements and procedures.
* Ensure effective maintenance of all quality and enhancement related policies, procedures and documents.
* Contribute to governance committees and groups as required.
* Plan, oversee and monitor implementation of actions from the Centre Action Plans relevant to data and operations functions.
* Analyse data and feedback from a wide variety of sources to monitor impact on student progression and experience.
* Act as the key point of contact for all students and deal professionally and promptly with enquiries and support requests.
* Assist in organising and delivering student events such as induction, transition and enrichment activities.
* Undertake any part of the administrative tasks and cover for members of the Student Experience team as required.
* Any other duties as directed by the Student Experience Leader or Centre Director.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience).
* Administration or management training or qualification.
* Higher level safeguarding training.
* Line management experience.
* Experience supporting students in an educational context.
* Experience building and maintaining student experience.
* Knowledge of Student Support activities and their contribution to the ISC.
* Commitment to improving team performance and ability to give constructive feedback.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across functional areas.
* Excellent IT and data management skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and willingness to learn new technologies.
* Ability to extract, manipulate and analyse data for reporting.
* Understanding of the wider context of the ISC and external implications.
* Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
* Experience leading a team or supervising complex task or project with successful outcome.
* Experience providing performance feedback leading to positive improvement.
* Experience in HR duties such as training delivery or recruitment participation.
* Experience judging support requirements and coordinating workload within the team.
* Ability to complete complex processes independently and manage the Student Support Team to meet deadlines.
* Ability to delegate activities and oversee successful completion.
