As part of continued growth, our client is looking to expand their team with the addition of a Field Service Technician. In this mobile role, you will provide critical on-site support across a wide customer base in the South focusing on key airports such as Heathrow and Gatwick.\n\nThe successfull candiate will have previous field based/mobile mechanical experience with HGV's, plant machinery or Ground Support Equipment (GSE)\n\nThis organisation is a well-established provider of Ground Support Equipment and Airfield Maintenance Equipment, with strong roots in the UK and the backing of a long-established parent company based in the United States. Their commitment to innovation and service has made them a trusted partner to airports across the country.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Perform planned maintenance on airport GSE\n\n * Conduct breakdown repairs and fault-finding (electrical and mechanical)\n\n * Carry out calibrations and fire system inspections\n\n * Support thorough examinations in accordance with LOLER (depending on competency)\n\n * Deliver expert technical support and diagnostics\n\nRequired Experience\n\n * Proven experience in maintaining and repairing Ground Support Equipment, Commercial Vehicles, Materials Handling Equipment, or Plant Machinery\n\n * Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills\n\n * Excellent interpersonal and planning skills\n\n * Full UK Driving Licence\n\n * Able to pass a 5-year background check (employment/education references required)\n\nPreferred Experience:\n\n * Previous relevant experience\n\n * GCSE or equivalent education\n\n * Previous experience with airport GSE, HGVs, or similar machinery is beneficial\n\nWhat’s offered\n\n * Competitive salary\n\n * Overtime paid at time-and-a-half\n\n * Paid travel from home to home\n\n * Technical training and product familiarisation\n\n * Monday to Friday schedule (8-hour shifts)\n\n * Speacialist ools, uniform, and vehicle provided
