About the role We are seeking a skilled and dedicated roofer/ground Engineer to join our Repairs team. Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service by communicating effectively and upholding Bromford's values. Carry out a wide range of roofing works across properties, including repairs and maintenance of felt, tiled, and slate roofs, as well as minor works linked to new build and construction projects. Complete associated tasks such as minor joinery, leadwork/flashing, and basic brickwork or repointing to support roofing activities. Use tools, plant, and access equipment safely and effectively, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained in good working order and defects are reported promptly. Plan and deliver work efficiently by interpreting job information, measuring accurately, and managing materials and van stock responsibly. Maintain high standards of workmanship, ensuring all work meets current regulations while proactively identifying risks, supporting safeguarding, and building positive relationships with customers and colleagues. Flexibility to adapt to varied tasks and an ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. A proven track record of completing repairs to high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Excellent customer service skills and a people-oriented approach. Comfort working in a social housing environment. Outstanding work ethic and the ability to complete tasks independently without close supervision.
