Just Recruitment is working with a growing manufacturing business located on the outskirts of Sudbury. They are looking to add a Quality Assistant to their experienced and technically led team.
Role Purpose
The key purpose of the role is to support the business with all quality-related duties as directed by the Quality Manager and wider management team.
Key Duties
1. Assist with setting up and operating a Quality Assurance laboratory to screen all incoming raw materials and finished products manufactured on site.
2. Ensure legislative safety requirements and specific customer practices are adhered to.
3. Continuously manage and align quality processes with industry requirements.
4. Undertake internal audits related to GMP and finished product standards.
5. Maintain traceability, hygiene, quality, and process records, validate results, identify trends, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
6. Work closely with third-party certification bodies regarding sustainability, religious, and ethical obligations.
7. Carry out sampling and investigations for microbiological, allergen, nutritional, or customer-specific requirements.
8. Collaborate with essential service providers such as Pest Control, Hygiene, and Workwear providers.
9. Assist with new product and process trials.
10. Communicate effectively across all departments and levels of the organization.
11. Flexibility to undertake additional duties as necessary for the business.
Qualifications and Experience
* Internal auditing experience.
* Proficiency in using IT-based packages.

Working Hours and Benefits
