Concept Projects Group is seeking a proactive and highly organised Engineering Coordinator to support the Mechanical Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with strong planning, procurement, and technical administration skills who can ensure smooth operational delivery across engineering projects. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, suppliers, and the Head of Engineering to help manage workload, order materials, prepare RAMS, and keep documentation accurate and compliant.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Workload Planning & Engineering Support
Assist the Mechanical Engineer Supervisor and Head of Engineering with planning and forecasting team workload.
Maintain schedules, job trackers, and engineering calendars.
Allocate work orders and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
Support engineers in preparing job packs, including drawings, material lists, and technical documents.
Procurement & Materials Management
Raise purchase orders for materials, tooling, and equipment required for specific jobs.
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and delivery schedules.
Buying and hiring goods required for specific jobs in line with mechanical engineer requests.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent delays.
Ensure ordered materials meet required technical specifications.
Documentation, Compliance & RAMS Creation
Prepare, update, and issue Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for engineering tasks.
Maintain document control for manuals, compliance certificates, drawings, and engineering records.
Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
Assist in keeping HSE documentation aligned with regulatory and company standards.
Administration & Reporting
Prepare reports on job progress, procurement activity, and engineering performance.
Maintain organised records of communications, meeting notes, and action logs.
Support the team with general engineering administration and coordination tasks.
Other
Other reasonable duties may be required in line with the needs of the business.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential
Strong organisational and scheduling skills
Experience purchasing materials or managing supplier interactions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems is beneficial
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Full driving licence
Desirable
Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical coordination role
Good understanding of mechanical engineering workflows
Experience preparing RAMS or other HSE documentation
Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical specifications
IOSH Managing Safely or similar health & safety training

Remuneration package: up to £30,000 per year (dependent on experience)
