HGV Class 1 Driver – Nightshift Trunk Driver – Falkirk People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Falkirk to join our well-established client based in Falkirk. This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent night-shift trunking work. Shifts • Monday to Friday • PM starts – induction day at 18:15, with trunks typically departing from 19:00 Rates of Pay • £18.60 per hour (Monday to Friday) Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site kitchen facilities • Training provided • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Trunking deliveries between depots • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) • Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles • Experience with double deck trailers is advantageous Training Provided • Driver assessment on your first day • Ongoing industry-related training and support Apply If you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
