An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic experienced qualified Psychological Therapist to become part of the integrated mental health and justice pathway working within the 3 local prisons across Norfolk.
It is a lead therapist post, therefore established experience in leading and managing a team as well as excellent clinical skills is essential.
Evidence of valid prison vetting clearance is required.
Main duties of the job
You will be welcomed into the prison IAPT services which is a small highly experienced and supportive team with enthusiasm to make a difference!
You can lead and support to help make that difference.
Therapeutic modalities offered within the service include CBT, CAT, counselling and EMDR.
The post holder will have excellent therapeutic skills, cultural competency and be able to be responsive and flexible in working within the busy prison environment.
You will be providing leadership as well as both clinical and management supervision to trained Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists, trainees, Psychological Therapist/Counsellors and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners within the service, ensuring adherence to National Guidance including NICE.
The post covers HMP Norwich, HMP Bure and HMP Wayland and successful applicant will need to be able to travel independently between sites.
Qualifications
* Post Graduate Training in specific psychological therapist (e.g. CBT, CAT or counselling) BABCP or BACP NCPS accredited
* Ability to lead and assist in the development and co-ordination of effective audit and reporting tools for clinical supervision, practice and activity, within the IAPT framework.
* Experience of leading and assisting in the development of IAPT/Wellbeing Services in line with National Guidance
Experience
* Experience in providing relevant management and clinical supervision to junior colleagues
Travel
* Ability to travel independently between sites
