As an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. Every person working here understands that our Residents are individuals with their own stories. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those we care for.
Your role at Sedgley Court involves planning and implementing activities that delight Residents, as well as assisting the Home Manager with fundraising events. You will help Residents socialize more confidently, develop new activity ideas based on their hobbies, and involve the care team—all with kindness as a guiding principle.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programs. Your positive energy, excellent planning, organizational, and IT skills, along with your ability to manage time effectively, are essential. You must communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the procedures for reporting concerns. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training, with the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
About HC-One: We prioritize kindness—more than a word, it's a way of life. We believe caring means supporting residents to live their best lives, guided by five key qualities: curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage, and dependability. We foster an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to be themselves. Our diverse team reflects the communities we serve and helps us learn from one another.
We are enhancing our digital care planning to streamline care and improve outcomes. As we grow our digital capabilities, we seek team members comfortable with technology or willing to learn, with full support provided.
We are committed to your personal and professional development, offering clear career pathways, ongoing training, and postgraduate opportunities. From the job offer to your start date, we ensure a quick and supportive onboarding process.
