Overview
Job Title: Teaching Assistant. Location: Gravesend. Pay: £90 - £110 daily rate. Job Type: full time, long term, supply available.
About the Role
As a member of the support team, you will play a vital role in helping pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex learning needs – including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication difficulties, and associated medical conditions – to achieve their full potential. You will work alongside an experienced and highly skilled team of Teachers, Therapists and Teaching Assistants who are passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex learning needs (including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication difficulties, and associated medical conditions) to achieve their full potential.
* Work alongside an experienced and highly skilled team of Teachers, Therapists and Teaching Assistants in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Support a vibrant, well-equipped learning environment with hydrotherapy, sensory and specialist facilities.
* Assist pupils with a broad, personalised curriculum, preparing them for independence, adulthood and employment.
* Support learning both within classrooms and in outdoor spaces, Forest Schools, PE and vocational experiences.
* Contribute to a happy, purposeful school community where every success is celebrated.
What We're Looking For
* Enthusiasm, patience and a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND.
* A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Experience in a SEND setting is desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidates.
