I am currently working with a Property Investmentpany with a diverse portfolio ofmercial, residential and agricultural properties, who are looking to hire amercially minded Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established group with a strong reputation in property investment and development and to take on a broader leadership role within the finance team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting both the Group Finance Director and senior management team. You will take ownership of core financial processes while also contributing to strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and reviewing the daily processing of rent and service charge receipts
2. Managing bank reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items
3. Preparing and reviewing VAT calculations and returns
4. Overseeing service charge accounts and annual reporting
5. Managing intepany reconciliations and reporting across the group
6. Producing monthly/quarterly management accounts and board reports with insightfulmentary
7. Leading the year-end process and coordinating with auditors
8. Partnering with operational teams and providing clear, value-add financial information
9. Driving improvements in processes, controls and reporting
10. Supporting junior finance members
What you'll need to succeed You’ll be a Qualified Accountant with experience in financial reporting. Property sector experience is preferred but not essential. You’ll be organised, proactive, and a confidentmunicator, with the ability to manage stakeholders and challenge where appropriate, alongside strong attention to detail.
