Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Caretaker to join our team and work with a variety of welcoming secondary schools across Southeast London, including in Bromley. This is a full-time, long-term role with an immediate start, ideal for someone reliable, hands-on, and confident in maintaining school premises to the highest standard.
As a Caretaker, you'll be responsible for site safety, basic maintenance, and ensuring a clean and secure environment for students and staff. We're looking for candidates with previous caretaker or site management experience in a school or similar setting.
Responsibilities include:
Opening and securing the school site
Conducting general maintenance and minor repairs
Managing heating, lighting, and alarm systems
Ensuring health & safety compliance
Liaising with cleaning staff and external contractors
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Caretaker (essential)
Good practical skills and knowledge of site safety
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
A proactive and reliable attitude
