What does the role involve?
Reporting to the Collections Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and recording customer vulnerability by way of payment arrears at the earliest stage. You'll record the issues accurately and speak with our customers to provide fair solutions for their repayments. You will be required to work from our Staines office a minimum of 2 days a week.
Some of your key duties will include:
1. Negotiating and delivering appropriate customer solutions for payment arrangements, forbearance, innovation and rescheduling
2. Ensure all arrears are collected in line with forecast numbers
3. Actively identify vulnerable customers and focus on delivering a fair outcome
4. Working to, and adhering to corporate governance and processes
What are we looking for?
You'll have great communication skills, particularly on the telephone and have experience in negotiating fair outcomes in a Customer Service based environment. You come with excellent listening skills and enjoy problem-solving.
Also, we're looking for the following:
5. Ability to work collaboratively with your colleagues
6. Customer-based experience in the Financial sector is preferred
7. Able to prioritise your own workload and work on your own initiative
8. Ability to deal with customers sensitively and with empathy
