Overview
To undertake the day to day supervision of the booking and scheduling staff members, providing an efficient and high quality booking and scheduling service to support the Directorate. You will be required to ensure cover throughout the operating hours of 08:00 – 17:00 in our admin office at CDH. You may also be required to attend RPH to support the booking supervisor during busy periods and annual leave.
Responsibilities
* Provide line management and leadership to the admin teams and support their development ensuring a business and service focused approach. Ensure staff are supported and working to their full potential and provide development opportunities.
* Responsible for providing a comprehensive and proactive administration service ensuring high quality and professional delivery of administration services to clinicians throughout the Women’s & Children’s Division.
* Lead and supervise teams across a broad range of services, switching between tasks as needed, and motivate staff through continuous support, mentoring and training.
* Remain calm under pressure with a solution‑focused approach; be an excellent team player who supports staff and patients within the service and the wider trust.
* Attend busy periods and annual leave coverage as required and ensure effective booking coverage during operating hours.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Experience in operational supervision of teams and demonstrated leadership, organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to switch between tasks and supervise teams across a broad range of services; proactive approach to mentoring and development.
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team and support patients and staff.
* All overseas qualifications must be proved comparable to UK standards through ENIC.
