Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a registrar grade surgeon (12 months fixed term) to join our highly motivated general surgical team at the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust. The post is available from August 2026 for twelve months with an option to extend this by mutual agreement.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be attached to one of the GI firms, Emergency Surgical Ambulatory Care, and take part in the on‑call rota (currently 1 in 12 with banding supplement accordingly). The role includes participating in the general surgical registrar on‑call rota at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, and being involved in service improvement and further development of our acute services.
Qualifications
Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow (ST3‑8 equivalent) in General and GI Surgery. This post is most suited to those with previous experience at registrar level who wish to enhance their specialist experience in GI surgery.
