We’re looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Natural Resources team on our Thames Water framework, based from Gerrards Cross and covering sites in the Northern Thames Valley region. Some remote working is available, with travel to the office required.
Location: Gerrards Cross; Northern Thames Valley region (remote work possible, travel to office required)
Hours: 45 hours per week; some flexibility on hours available. Please indicate your availability when speaking with us.

What will you be responsible for?
As Mechanical Project Engineer, you’ll be working within the NRNN Water team, within our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP). You will work alongside other Project Engineers to ensure that MEICA-focused projects are delivered in line with Kier's and the Thames Water KPI’s. Projects will cover capital projects in wastewater site upgrades and resilience.
Your Day To Day Will Include
* Engage with the direct and supply chain workforce on Health, Safety and Wellbeing, leading by example on leading indicators to promote engagement
* Selection of Mechanical supply chain and package scope based on technical and commercial judgement, in consideration of client frameworks and a willingness to challenge where there is a programme or commercial opportunity
* Supervise work to ensure it is carried out in accordance with method statements and work instructions from the project manager
* Accountability for the review and management of MEICA design outputs from our design partners
* Work with MEICA site supervisors and commissioning engineers to monitor site progress and check the works are in line with the approved designs
What are we looking for?
This role is suitable for you if you hold:
* Industry experience within water and commissioning mechanical plant in wastewater
* BEng / ONC / HNC / BTEC qualified Mechanical Engineering
* CSCS card, SSSTS & Confined Spaces
* Experience in reviewing RAMS and understanding risks associated with process plant installations
* Full driving licence
