About Evolve Psychology
Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, Evolve Psychology specialises in autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia assessments for children, young people and adults. Our nationally recognised, multidisciplinary team is fully registered with the HCPC and affiliated with the British Psychological Society, CORU, PSI and the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
The role
As a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner you will conduct comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses that support families and inform appropriate interventions.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct face‑to‑face structured observations as part of the assessment process.
* Conduct remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers via Zoom.
* Participate collaboratively in multidisciplinary team diagnostic discussions, supported by senior clinicians when required.
* Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to families.
* Produce accurate clinical reports, including diagnostic formulations, using AI‑assisted tools.
* Work efficiently to meet service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Provide clinical supervision where applicable.
* Able to travel to the clinic base to conduct in‑person assessments (hybrid only).
Qualifications and experience
* Minimum of 1 year’s professional registration with a governing body (HCPC, NMC, GMC or Social Work England).
* Minimum of 1 year experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people.
* Strong understanding of differential diagnosis in neurodevelopmental presentations.
* In‑depth knowledge of DSM‑5 diagnostic criteria for autism and ADHD.
* Experience with diagnostic tools such as ADOS‑2, ADI‑R, and related instruments.
* Effective time‑management and caseload organisation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and in collaborative diagnostic discussions.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills for producing high‑quality clinical reports and interacting with families.

Salary: £30,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience). Permanent contract. Permanent full‑time or part‑time positions (minimum 3 days a week) with hybrid working based at Regus St. Crispins Road, Norwich, NR3 1YE.
