Student Mentor (Term time plus 2 weeks)

36 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.45pm and Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm)
SALARY
£18,378 - £19,022 plus a holiday enhancement of £3,642 to £3,770 per annum (£25,847 - £26,753 FTE per annum)

We are a successful, community‑focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Student Welfare team and in recent years the department has grown from strength to strength. RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners identified as being at high risk of disengagement or withdrawal from their studies.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver effective multi‑agency support to vulnerable learners and those at risk of leaving their course.
* Deliver ongoing support throughout the students’ studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in a similar or related role, and an awareness of issues that are likely to impact on young people’s success in education.
