Retail Store Manager
£26,259 - £30,804 plus benefits

We’re seeking a motivating store manager to join our trading team. You’ll act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, motivating your team to maximise sales and fundraising targets. Your shop will be a community hub where people meet our staff, understand our brand, and see the great work we do.
You’ll also be surrounded by dedicated individuals committed to beating cancer.
What will I be doing?
1. Guiding, inspiring, and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse shop team.
2. Taking ownership of the commercial aspects of your store, including display, merchandising, stock management, maintaining shop standards, store layout, sales, and income.
3. Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.
4. Maximising profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
5. Building relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
6. Organising and running creative fundraising events to meet targets.
7. Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
8. Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.

5. Commercial awareness.
6. Knowledge of high street fashion retail.

9. Flexibility to work on a rota basis, balancing business needs with personal life.
