Teaching Personnel is seeking a resilient, empathetic, and committed SEN Classroom Support Worker to provide focused 1:1 or group support for young people with a range of disabilities, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who is up for a challenge and thrives in dynamic environments. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly are essential, as you'll be working with pupils across a range of key stages and who may struggle to engage in a typical classroom setting.
Your role will be to help these young people feel safe, understood, and capable of progress. A calm and patient approach, confidence in working across key stages, and strong relationship‑building skills are key. The ability to remain composed under pressure and apply effective de‑escalation techniques will be vital in supporting pupils emotionally and academically.

* Experience supporting children, young people, or individuals with special or additional learning needs, either in education, care, or community settings
* Resilient, patient and understanding attitude
* Support pupils with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs where required.
* Ability to deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support during lessons and daily activities tailored to individual pupil need
* The ability to implement strategies to manage and de‑escalate behaviour effectively
* A commitment to encouraging the pupil's engagement, confidence, and emotional development
* Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
✅Requirements
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Level 2 Safeguarding training
* At least two professional references covering most recent 24 months employment
