About the role The Assistant Headteacher will support the principal in communicating the school’s vision compellingly and support the headteacher’s strategic leadership; the day-to-day management of the school; formulating the aims and objectives of the school; establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives; managing staff and resources to that end; monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives; and Strategic lead of our enrichment stream. The Assistant Headteacher will also have a timetabled teaching commitment of 50% complying with the Teacher’s Standards and modelling best practice for others. They may also be required to undertake any of the duties delegated from the Headteacher. To effectively and consistently manage the behaviour of pupils in line with the policies and ethos of The Grange. This is a challenging role, and you must be able to cope with stressful interpersonal situations whilst maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
