A growing specialist energy consultancy supporting agricultural and commercial organisations with compliance, technical advisory, and optimisation services is looking to appoint a Business Development Executive to drive new opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships through the delivery of consultancy-led solutions.
The Role
Generate new business across a range of sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, food production, and commercial property.
Expand existing client accounts through structured upselling and cross-selling of consultancy and advisory services.
Manage a healthy pipeline of both marketing-qualified leads and self-generated opportunities.
Carry out proactive outbound prospecting, forming a significant proportion of day-to-day activity.
Lead consultative conversations around compliance requirements and technical energy solutions.
Produce tailored proposals and commercial documentation aligned to client needs.
Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reporting.
Attend client meetings and site visits where required.
Deliver quarterly revenue targets through a balance of acquisition and account growth.
What Success Looks Like
Completion of a structured onboarding and induction programme.
Early pipeline development with revenue targets achieved within the first three months.
Consistent monthly performance across both new business generation and account development.
What We're Looking For
Background in B2B sales with experience in consultative and new business sales.
Confidence in generating opportunities through outbound activity.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop long-term partnerships.
Experience selling consultancy, advisory, or technically led service solutions.
Commercial awareness supported by effective negotiation skills.
Comfortable managing pipeline activity and performance through CRM systems.
