About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced AWS Developer to join our clients engineering team and help build secure, scalable cloud-native services. This is a fully remote, permanent position open to candidates based anywhere in the UK with full working rights.
You’ll work across a modern AWS ecosystem, contributing to new feature development, architecture decisions, automation, and performance optimisation.
Tech Stack You’ll Work With
You’ll be hands-on with a wide range of AWS services, including:
* Compute & Serverless: Lambda, EC2
* Networking & Security: VPC, IAM, Secrets Manager
* APIs & Application Services: API Gateway, AppSync, GraphQL
* Event-Driven Architecture: EventBridge, SNS, SQS
* Data & Storage: DynamoDB, S3
* Developer & Deployment Tools: CDK, Amplify
* Monitoring & Observability: CloudWatch
* Authentication: Cognito
What You’ll Do
* Design and develop serverless applications and microservices on AWS
* Build and maintain IaC using AWS CDK
* Develop secure and scalable APIs (REST & GraphQL)
* Integrate event-driven workflows via EventBridge, SNS, and SQS
* Implement cloud-native authentication and authorisation using Cognito & IAM
* Optimise performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
* Work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps functions
* Ensure best practices in monitoring, logging, and security
What We’re Looking For
* Strong commercial experience with AWS development
* Hands-on expertise across the listed tech stack
* Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Node.js, Python)
* Experience building serverless and event-driven architectures
* Strong understanding of IaC (CDK preferred)
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Must be UK-based with full right to work (no sponsorship available)
